Book Club

The Book Club was established to provide an activity for members to read and discuss books of Spanish history, culture and related topics. The club meets the second Wednesday of the month from October through April at members’ homes. Discussion questions are normally provided in advance to guide the discussions. Books are selected by the members annually. All books are read and discussed in English. No knowledge of Spanish is needed.

 Gone for Soldiers: A Novel of the Mexican War by Shaara
 The Queen of Water by Laura Rescue
 Death in the Andes by Mario Vargas Llosa


Book club will meet Wednesday, April 11th

to discuss Gone For Soldiers, a novel about the Mexican American War.

Lt. Robert E. Lee is one of the main characters.
